"Skinny" Arches

The example in the gallery showcases how a 'skinny' 10mm frame still performs well below the material yield strength (AL6061-T6 280MPa) at weights of 120kg rider (simulation with www.simscale.com).

Keeping the traditional front triangle of the diamond shape unchanged, the ARCed backend is optimised for weight vs. stiffness to provide balanced riding and rigidity when required.

Production Arches

Under the same forces, the Production model is demonstrating excellent stress and maximum deformation performance with average stress levels 5-10MPa across the arches, 30 to 50 times below the material yield strength. Expected deformation at these levels is practically zero at less than 0.3mm across the arches.

Design tested in the harshest environment, the Swiss Alps.
